Removing the regulatory and prescription barriers for cannabis in the Federal Republic and EU member states will allow patients to obtain cannabis without a prescription. However, this requires cooperation between cannabis associations and industry stakeholders, including policymakers.

For better patient care, we promote:

• The collaboration of governments and healthcare professionals to help them understand the benefits of cannabis for medical purposes.
• Working with patient organisations to improve access to medicinal cannabis.
• Continuous exchange of knowledge between research institutions, cannabis associations and political decision-makers.
• Transfer of knowledge to develop validated teaching materials.

These important collaborations ensure that the patient is at the heart of what we do as the Cannabis Association to support more effective medical cannabis treatments.
